The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the timeline for the re-evaluation and verification of marks for the 2026 Board Examination Result for Class 12. The students who are not satisfied with the marks allotted to them or feel there could be any mistake in the evaluation procedure now have the option of applying online through the official CBSE portal. The board has issued detailed procedures about the verification process, photocopy of answer sheets and re-evaluation applications.
Students can only request re-evaluation of the questions they mark after seeing their answer sheets on a photo copied sheet of paper, CBSE has clarified. The board will recheck for correctness of marks for those answers as per the marking scheme. The final updated result (higher or lower) will be auto-updated in case of any modification in the marks scheme.
Applications for verification, photocopy and re-evaluation must be made online with the appropriate fee. Students are requested to have their roll number, school number, admit card ID and other necessary information available while filling up the application form.
This year, lakhs of students sat for the CBSE Class 12 Board Examination 2026 in India and internationally. Many students and parents were waiting after the results were declared for the re-evaluation schedule to check their scores in the light of the college admissions and competitive examination counselling.
Also, you can connect to Online Universities for free career counseling. Students are requested to read the official directions carefully before applying for the re-evaluation and visit the CBSE website periodically for updates in re-evaluation results, application status and other updates about the re-evaluation process.
