Council had earlier in this year issued the official notification and online application form for the recruitment of teachers in government & government aided schools in the state. The application deadline was extended after receiving the applications from the candidates and more candidates registered their applications.
The web-based application process opened on April 21, 2026 & ended on June 2, 2026. All the candidates who had successfully applied are awaiting the Examination Date which will be notified by JAC through an official notification.
JTET 2026: Important Dates
JTET Exam is organized for determining the eligibility of the candidates for the primary and upper primary levels of teaching. Students who wish to get a teaching job in government schools in Jharkhand are required to qualify the examination.
The candidates had to go to the official JTET/JAC examination website and complete a fresh registration with their personal and contact information during the application process. The applicants were then asked to provide their educational qualification information, choose the paper for which they had applied and upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature after the registration process.
Applicants had to pay the application fee online as per category and paper opted. Depending upon the level of teaching, candidates can apply for Paper I, Paper II or both papers with JTET.
Now that the registration process is over, candidates are requested to visit the official JAC website regularly to get information about the examination schedule, issuance of admit cards and other important information. The council will be announcing the Exam Date and Admit Card information in the near future.
