Several districts performed very well with East Midnapore, Kolkata and Hooghly coming out as good performers. A distinction was earned by thousands of students in all three streams—arts, science and commerce.
The Higher Secondary exams were earlier this year held in hundreds of exams centres in W.B. with proper supervision. If a candidate is not satisfied with his/her mark, he/she can apply for re-evaluation as per the board guidelines.
The assessment of the higher secondary results of the state over the years has been commended by the experts in education. The high pass percentage is attributed to students' hard work, enhanced academic support and enhanced examination preparation strategies implemented by schools.
