The University offers 2 UG courses BA History (Hons) and BA Sociology (Hons), and 6 PG-level programs MA Economics, MA History, MA Political Science, MCom Finance, MA Arabic Language and Literature, and MA Sociology. The Centre for Distance and Online Education, earlier referred to as the ‘Institute of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education’, University of Calicut, started functioning in the Academic year 1981-82. Now it's one of the main Departments of the college and has also emerged as one of the primary distance learning. CDOE is making all its effort to increase its help to reach the unreached privileged section of society and has been eager in providing facilities in distance mode for the gain of the deprived sections of the society. It caters to the needs of thousands of college students from various parts of the country. The Calicut Distance Learning is one of the most known names for providing various programs under undergraduate and postgraduate sections.
